BY KEITH KIRSNER A lot of fashion comes from clothes that actually serve a purpose before it makes its way to the runways. Fashion forecasting companies research and develop where movements are going and what the public will want. Designers then make clothes based on these trends for mass production that will eventually hit the streets. It seems over the last few decades designers have strongly taken inspiration from blue-collared workers. Anyone remember overalls from the 80’s? How about carpenter pants and a pair of Timberland’s in the 90’s? And how about in the 2000’s with our military shirts and camouflage shorts? It makes you wonder where our next phase of inspirational workers will come from...
